In January 2023, I travelled to South Sudan and spent time with Jiye, Taposa and Laarim tribes in Eastern Equatoria before heading to Terekeka, to the north of the capital Juba, for a few days camping alongside a large Mundari cattle camp.

In February 2023, I travelled to Ethiopia and spent time with Suri, Nyangatom, Kara, Hamar, Daasanach, Arbore and Mursi tribes in the Omo Valley. I also spent some time at Harar and Lalibela.

Stoer Head Lighthouse is pretty short (14m) as lighthouses go, but perched on the cliff top it has an elevation of 54m above sea level. The weather was too wet to hang around for long, but I’ll head back sometime soon to explore around it prope
